About the Workshop
The Workshop on Physics with Trapped Charged Particles (WPTCP 2024) will focus on the development of ion traps as a tool for the study of fundamental physics, precision spectroscopy, quantum computing, quantum information, quantum electrodynamics, and antimatter. The workshop aims to bring together experimentalists and theoreticians to explore the studies of trapped highly charged ions and harness their quantum dynamics, which are crucial for future developments in fundamental physics.
Topics of interest in the workshop include
- Highly Charged Ions in Traps
- Radioactive Isotopes in Traps
- Ion-atom-molecular Collisions
- Electron Collisions
- Radiative Lifetime of Atomic Metastable States
- Precision Spectroscopy and Frequency Standards
- Quantum Computing and Quantum Information
