About the School

Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) is an autonomous centre of the University Grants Commission (UGC) providing advanced facilities to the user community for carrying out accelerator-based research in basic sciences for more than three decades. Experimental nuclear physics, both nuclear reaction dynamics and nuclear structure, has been a core area of research since the inception of IUAC. A number of state-of-the-art experimental facilities, namely, two recoil separators (HIRA and HYRA), an array of neutron detectors (NAND), a large scattering chamber (GPSC) and an array of HPGe Clover detectors (INGA) etc. are available at IUAC to facilitate research by the user community. In its effort to impart in-depth knowledge in chosen areas of nuclear reactions to research scholars and young faculty members, the IUAC School on Nuclear Reactions 2021 will be organized online at IUAC, New Delhi during November 15 – 20, 2021. Research scholars and young faculty members, interested in participating in the School, need to register online latest by November 05, 2021. Registration can’t be done by post or through email. There is no registration fee.
