The University of Mumbai (UoM) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India, established in the year 1857 and currently incorporated under the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. The jurisdiction of the University extends over seven districts i.e. Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. Applications/Nominations are invited from eminent academicians who fulfil the qualifications and experience prescribed for the post of Vice-Chancellor under Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 as amended as per Ordinance No.XIII of 2022, promulgated by the State Government in H&TED on 24th November, 2022. Candidates who fulfill the prescribed qualification and experience and are willing to take on this prestigious and challenging assignment may apply in the prescribed format in hard (4 copies) by post/courier in an envelope superscribed with “Application for the post of Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai” as well as soft copy to the Nodal Officer at the following address so as to reach on or before Saturday, the 15th April, 2023.
