Instructions for applicants

Online application can be
submitted till midnight of April
25, 2022. Applications sent by
post or through email will not be accepted.
2.
Only Indian nationals are eligible
to apply for the Summer Programme.
3.
Fields / sub-fields marked with '

' are mandatory. Please follow the
guidelines carefully that appear on your screen when you place the
cursor on a particular field.
4.
Please do not submit multiple copies of
the online application form.
5.
Students who are studying in the second or third year of B.Sc. (Physics/ Applied Physics)/ Integrated M.Sc (Physics/ Applied Physics) are eligible to apply. Applicants must have consistently good academic record from class X onwards
securing
minimum
60% marks / CGPA >= 6.5 (which ever is mentioned in the marksheet). While calculating percentage of marks/
CGPA
in secondary (class 10) and senior secondary (10+2) examinations, one
has to consider all subjects. For B. Sc. / integrated M. Sc.
courses, marks obtained in the core subjects only (excluding
optionals / languages) need to be taken into account.
6.
Students are required to provide the marks obtained in the previous year / years (first / first and second) of the B.Sc./ Integrated M.Sc.
course. Those who are having semester system should provide the average of the two semesters in the
respective year/years.

The students are required to upload all the required documents in a single file in the given sequence.
a. Secondary/ Class X marksheet
b. Senior Secondary/ Class XII marksheet
c. B.Sc./ Integrated M.Sc. (First Year) marksheet
d. B.Sc./ Integrated M.Sc. (Second Year) marksheet (if applicable)
e. National Scholarship Certificate (if applicable)
f. COVID-19 Vaccination certificate

Each applicant is required to upload a
recent passport size colour
photograph (size not exceeding
100 kB (250 x 350 pixels)). Files only in PNG, JPG, JPEG and
GIF formats will be accepted.
9.
After filling up all the mandatory fields
on this page, one needs to click the Submit button. Upon
successful submission, each application will be assigned a
unique id,
which should be quoted for all future
correspondence.
10.
The applicant should provide name, address
and email of a responsible person (preferrably the head of the
department / institution), who is not related to the applicant but
are well acquainted with the applicant's academic performance.
Confidential referral may be sought from the person by IUAC later.
11.
All the selected candidates who will take part in the
summer project program will be provided with TA (AC III-Tier train fare by producing the copy of the ticket) and free boarding and lodging. Boarding will be provided on twin sharing basis in the IUAC Hostel or guest houses.
12.
Only fully vaccinated (Covid-19) students will be selected for the program.
